Hello! My name is Heidi Gergurich, and I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW #106831). I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of Arizona and my Master’s Degree in Social Worker from Arizona State University. I have over 10 years of experience working in the mental health field with adults and adolescents in various settings such as private therapy, psychiatric hospitals, emergency clinics, and outpatient mental health facilities. I have also had the honor and privilege of working in hospice care. I have worked with families, couples, and individuals coping with mental illness and terminal diagnosis. I specialize in Brainspotting, a talk therapy that reveals a client’s unprocessed traumas through fixed eye positions.

My Philosophy

My focus is on person-centered therapy where I feel that people are inherently motivated toward achieving positive psychological functioning. I utilize Brainspotting, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help clients feel safe and at ease to build a trusting therapeutic relationship. The goal of therapy is to help the client live a more fulfilled, functional, and happier life by helping them deal with their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
